Objective of the channel

Objective 1-1.
To make "hit songs loved by Japanese 
people" familiar not only to Japanese 
people but also to people around the world. 
I believe that the "lyrics (poetry)" of 
Japanese songs express "the hearts of 
the people of the time" and evoke empathy. 

Objective 1-2.
The Japanese song "Lyrics (Poetry)" is the 
best material for understanding the heart 
of the Japanese people, conveying the "heart 
of the Japanese people" as expressed in the 
world's oldest story "The Tale of Genji".

Objective 2.
To translate the Japanese lyrics into 
English and show them. Due to the lack 
of non-English translation capability, 
I translate them into English. 
There is no intention to discriminate 
against non-English speakers.

Objective 3-1.
Japanese is a mixed language of ideograms
 and phonograms, which is rare in the world. 
The lyrics of some songs are written in four 
forms." ideograms & phonograms (mixed 
kanji/kana text)" and "phonograms
 (hiragana, katakana, romaji)".

Objective 3-2.
Vertical and horizontal writing styles 
are also represented. 
It is my hope that my English translations 
of Japanese lyrics will serve as a bridge to 
"Japanology”.

目的1-1．
日本人に愛されるヒット曲」を日本人だけで
なく、世界の人々に親しまれるようにすること。
日本の歌の「歌詞（詩）」は、「その時代の
人々の心」を表現し、共感を呼び起こすもの
だと私は考えています。

目的1-2．
また、日本の曲の「歌詞（詩）」は、世界最古の
物語「源氏物語」に表現された「日本人の心」
を伝える、日本人の心を理解するための最高の
素材です。

目的2：
日本語の歌詞を英訳して表示すること。
英訳するのは、私に英語以外の翻訳能力
がないからです。
英語圏以外の人々を差別する意図は
全くありません。

目的3-1.
日本語は、世界でも珍しい表意文字と
表音文字の混合形式の言語です。
一部の曲の歌詞は、表意文字（漢字）と
表音文字（混合形式、ひらがな、カタカナ、
ローマ字）の４形式で表記しました。

目的3-2：
縦書きと横書きの様式も例示しました。
私が英訳した日本語の歌詞が、「日本学」
への架け橋になればと願っています。
